　Nintendo announced on February 24 that it will become a subsidiary of SRD, which is developing game software and the like. It is scheduled to acquire shares on April 1, 2022. SRD has been working on Nintendo's original titles for many years, like Hull Research Institute and Intelligent Systems. SRD was founded in 1979. Beginning with the Family Computer Software Donkey Kong released in 1983, it has been involved in a number of titles such as Super Mario Bros., the Legend of Zelda, the Animal Crossing Series, and Ring Fit Adventure. The SRD system is also developed by SRD. The reason for becoming a subsidiary is that "it is possible to enhance the management base of SRD, to secure software development resources in the future, and to improve development efficiency."
