The motto is "Working together with various people" / Sachiko Fukuoka, Representative of Triangle Co., Ltd.

"Fan Fan Kitakyushu" radio program produced by Nishinippon Shimbun Kitakyushu Head Office. It introduces in-depth information and the charm of Kitakyushu that only a local newspaper can provide. For those who missed the radio, we will look back on the contents of the broadcast program in "Kitakyushu Nokoto".

Could you help revitalize Kotobuki-dori Shopping Street? Starting with event planning

Koki: Last week was fun. It's rare for a president to run away at night.

Yokoyama: If something like that happened, I might quit my job as a salaryman. (smile)

Kougi: That's pretty rare. Having such an experience, it's amazing that you decided to stay in Kurosaki.

So, let's invite the guests right away. Continuing from last week, we will invite Ms. Sachiko Fukuoka of Triangle Co., Ltd., who worked on the revitalization of the Kotobuki-dori shopping street in Kurosaki, Yahatanishi Ward, as a guest to hear her story. thank you.

Fukuoka: Nice to meet you.

Koki: Last week, I heard that Mr. Fukuoka, by chance, was involved in a project in Kurosaki that fused the local community and art, and even after the president passed away, he remained in Kurosaki and participated in the city's development. . And you borrowed snacks in front of the station and created a community development group called "Catalog △ (Sankakke)".

Fukuoka: Yes.

Koki: How do you get to Kotobuki-dori from here? It's 7 minutes from the station, so I haven't arrived yet. (smile)

Fukuoka: Yes. (Laughs) As I said last time, as I was involved in various events and the number of friends and people I knew increased, the president of the Kotobuki-dori shopping street at the time said, “I want to revitalize the shopping street, but I don't know what to do, so can you help me?" In particular, it was necessary to prepare documents on a computer for applications such as subsidies, and I could not use a computer, so it was the first time I received a request for support including such things.

Kouki: I see.

Fukuoka: At first, when I first met Kotobuki Dori, I helped with event planning and subsidy procedures for the event. At that time, there were about 4 or 5 stores.

Kouki/Yokoyama: There were only 4 or 5 stores.

Fukuoka: Yes. After that, with the shutter closed. However, some of the owners of the 4 or 5 stores were elderly, and it felt like an old-fashioned shopping street.

Events alone can't make a difference. If moving in is the next opportunity. It seems unlikely.

Fukuoka: Yes. No matter how many weekends we held an event for young people, the next day there would be nothing. After all, I felt that if we just continued the event, things would not change. I wondered if there was anyone who had been there for a long time and wanted to do business there, so I was looking for someone at the same time. Not have. I thought, "Well then, I'm going to relocate the office!"

Kouki: After all, the atmosphere of the shopping district changes, right? There used to be only 4 or 5 stores for elderly people, but what if a young person like Mr. Fukuoka, who is also a PR company for urban development, entered (in the shopping district).

Fukuoka: At first, I was like, "What kind of store is this?" For half a year after I entered the shopping district, I only had an office, but after half a year, I turned it into a wine bar at night.

From the once-a-week cross-industry exchange meeting to a wine bar

Fukuoka: Originally, we had an industry exchange meeting, so I wanted to expand my relationship with people a little more. I started a wine bar with the image of having a cross-industry exchange meeting every day.

Yokoyama: The industry exchange meeting once a week has changed every day.

Kouki: The scenery seems to change a lot, doesn't it? People can pass by at night.

The motto is

Fukuoka: Of the 13 stores, all others were closed, and only the one in the middle was crowded. I'm going out and drinking, so it seems that people who pass by and pass by are wondering.

Kouki: You can drink in that passage. After that, will the number of stores gradually increase?

Fukuoka: Yes. After that, I rented another store at my place. When I was working in a wine bar, I often heard that they only had wine that changed weekly, and they didn't have snacks.

Koki: Can we open a snack shop?

Fukuoka: Yes. I asked everyone, "I'm thinking of opening another store, what would you like?" So you decided to open a side dish shop next door. It is now a cafe and side dish shop called "Kotobu Kitchen".

Yokoyama: It was a wonderful shop.

Fukuoka: Thank you!

Yokoyama: The bread was delicious!

Fukuoka: It must be delicious!

Wine bar→Delivery shop→Cafe→Bread

Fukuoka: In a place where there are few such customers, I am currently thinking of a possibility (in Kotobuki-dori shopping street). It's not about expanding the wine business, but something different. Since there is wine, next is a side dish. A cafe because there are side dishes. There is a cafe, so it's like bread.

Yokoyama: They are connected.

Fukuoka: Rather than expanding the business little by little, it's like branching out. A small investment.

Kouki: It's a little bit, but it's kind of cute. How many stores have Kotobuki-dori shopping arcades expanded to?

Fukuoka: Originally there were 13 stores, but the division has changed, but now there is only 1 store left.

Kouki/Yokoyama: Amazing!

Fukuoka: That one store also includes a tour and survey, so I think it would be nice if it was decided.

Kouki and Yokoyama: (applause)

Kouki: It would be amazing if all of them were filled! If you see this success story, don't you get offers from here and there saying "Please plan something for our shopping street"?

Fukuoka: Are you coming? (smile)

Kouki: What would you do if you came?

Fukuoka: I will go when I come.

Yokoyama: Are you going?

Fukuoka: I'm going.

Kouki: If I was asked to go to a shopping street in Kumamoto, would I go to Kumamoto?

Fukuoka: Yes. if anyone asks for it.

Kouki: It's kind of like a nomad and it's cool! nice one! It's amazing that even though they have this kind of energy, they don't look like that at all.

Fukuoka: I like to find places I want to go with everyone, so my motto is to work with various people.
