It's annoying to miss important texts, emails, and other updates all the time, and missing important communications can be a big problem.

1. Restart your iPhone

Sometimes your iPhone malfunctions for no good reason.

2. Check your internet connection

3. Disable Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb silences calls, notifications, and all types of alerts (except alarms).

If you don't see any notifications on your iPhone, you may have accidentally enabled Do Not Disturb, so check that.

To see if Do Not Disturb is enabled, open your iPhone's Control Center (slide down from the top right corner on models with Face ID; on models with a Home button swipe up from the bottom).

4. Disable Do Not Disturb While Driving

The Do Not Disturb While Driving feature works only when the iPhone is connected to the car's Bluetooth and when the user A feature that mutes notifications when your iPhone detects you're in a moving car.

5. Check the app's notification settings

If notifications for a specific app are not displayed on your iPhone, check if the app's notification settings and preferences are correct.

Launch the Settings app and select Notifications. Next, let's select the affected app and make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on.

Additionally, depending on your preferences, make sure Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners are enabled.

So, if notifications are enabled on your iPhone but you still can't see them in the app, check to see if there's a problem with the notification settings in the Messenger app itself.
