Interview with HIKAKIN and the Shirato family (Aya Ueto, Hana Sugisaki, Kanako Higuchi)

-Please tell us your impressions of the commercial shoot.

[Mr. HIKAKIN]: This time, only the basic face is shown, so I thought it would be pretty easy, but it was a struggle. My face is composited into the body of the penguin. It felt like I was doing it while doing it, so it was difficult on the contrary. I want you to pay attention to the acting skills of me, my father, and the Shirato family, who are completely transformed into penguins. Also, I think there's a scene where I speak very fast, so I hope you can see how I'm doing my best.

[Mr. Ueto]: I'm very happy to meet you, and I wonder when we'll meet again. I feel that it is a miracle that this shooting took place and that I was able to meet all of you.

[Mr. Sugisaki]: It's been a year since I've photographed the Shirato family, so I was very happy. However, the shooting was over in no time, so I felt a little unsatisfactory.

[Mr. Higuchi]: Okay, take more pictures.

[Mr. Ueto]: Alone? Hahaha.

[Mr. Sugisaki]: Alone? I want to do it with everyone (laughs).

[Mr. Higuchi]: It's been half a year since I've taken a photo shoot, and I've never had this much free time before, so I'm really happy to be able to meet everyone after a long time. The two of them are so cute. It's been a year since Hana-chan has become so cute again, and I'm so happy.

――How did you feel when you saw the video featuring HIKAKIN as a penguin?

[Mr. Ueto]: About 3 years ago, I was with HIKAKIN and SEIKIN in a commercial for the Shirato family. I've been watching HIKAKIN's YouTube program, so I've been proud of it (laughs).

[Mr. Sugisaki]: I enjoyed the surreal video with a handmade feeling.

[Mr. Higuchi]: This time it will be facial art. It's very difficult because it's just a face acting, but I'll do it. As expected, it's way to go.

――What do you want to enjoy to the fullest in 2022?

[Mr. HIKAKIN]: I've been setting a goal to lose weight since the end of last year, and I'm aiming for at least 5kg and aiming for 10kg. However, I really like eating, and it's really fun, so while I'm eating, I'd like to do some exercise or yoga at home so that I can pull my stomach in even just a little bit. I would like to enjoy exercising while listening to music and watching YouTube, and hopefully become slim this year.

[Mr. Ueto]: I want to do yoga for the first time in a while. I've been going to hot yoga for a long time, but I want to properly stretch and exercise.

[Mr. Sugisaki]: I've been into cooking lately, and I buy a lot of cookbooks. Of course I love cooking, but I also love reading, so I would like to buy a lot of cookbooks from various cooks.

[Mr. Higuchi]: When I bought a kickboard for my grandson, I wanted one too. I want to ride an electric kickboard once.

――Last year, the number of registrants surpassed 10 million, and the top trend ranking in YouTube, etc.

It was a great year, but what are your goals for this year?

[Mr. HIKAKIN]: Last year, things like 10 million people and the 10th anniversary went by so fast, so I was worried that there would be a backlash, but I'm calmly entering the 11th year so that I can overcome that hurdle. I also want to do my best with "HikakinTV". This year's goal is to continue at a high level, such as 11 million registrants. With so many new stars emerging, I also want to aim for the number one trend.
