Instagram, "Check Security" notification. Unauthorized access prevention-Impress Watch
Instagram will begin an initiative on July 13 (US time) to display a "security check" notification and encourage users to check tools and settings to keep their accounts secure. It is planned to be displayed to all users within the next few months.
Security checks include "check login activity," "check profile information," "check accounts sharing login information," and "contacts needed to recover accounts such as phone numbers and email addresses." Four of "previous update".
Start with users who may have had their account accessed illegally, such as users who have recently changed their personal information or password.
Security checks will ensure that users are using the right tools to protect their accounts and keep their Instagram accounts secure.
In addition to checking security, we also introduced what users can do to use Instagram safely. We recommend four things: "Enable two-step verification", "Enable login request", "Update phone number and email address", and "Report suspicious content or account". ..

Two-step verification can be enabled using mobile phone numbers and authentication apps such as Duo Mobile and Google Authentication. In certain countries, WhatsApp will be available to protect your account in the coming weeks.
If you set up two-step verification, you'll be alerted when you try to log in to your account from an unrecognized device or web browser. By enabling a login request, you can immediately approve or reject the request from a device that is already logged in.
A list of the latest logged-in devices can be found in Settings> Security> Login Activity. If you don't know what you're logging in to, you can log out of that location or device to let them know you're not.
We recommend updating your phone number and email address to the latest ones. This will allow Instagram to contact you if something happens to your account, and these steps will allow you to recover your account even if a hacker changes your information.
If Instagram contacts you about your account, it will be done via Settings> Notices> Email tab from Instagram. Instagram doesn't use the direct feature to send messages, and recommends that you report these messages and block your account.
For reporting, we'll show you how to tap the three points […] above the content or account post you want to investigate, press and hold a message, or access your account and report directly from your profile. ..
