[9th] Why gays oppose same-sex marriage | ovrsee's Canadian Life Diary | TORJA

On Valentine's Day in Japan, a same-sex couple filed a lawsuit demanding same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage became legal in Canada in 2005. You can see same-sex couples walking hand in hand in the streets, and same-sex couples with children. This article was written by ovrsee's LGBT staff!

Gay Reasons Against Same-Sex Marriage

Taiwan is moving toward legislation on same-sex partnerships. Even in the news in Japan, there are more and more opportunities to see things about same-sex marriage.

Every time I see news like this, I have something to think about. It's the gay people around me who are against same-sex marriage. Not all LGBT people want same-sex marriage, but my gay friends in Japan are evenly divided.

Now, let's introduce the opposition by type. They are actually my friends. smile

Even if you have a lover, it doesn't last long, and it's painful to live with people. "The more I say I like it, the more I withdraw." Marriage isn't about love, it's about having children and leaving genes behind. For him, loving someone and being loved is a fantasy world.

I'm not going to say to him, "If you meet someone you really love, you'll change." Maybe loving and being loved doesn't happen to everyone, or maybe I'm lucky if I meet you. But I think it's wrong to deny someone's desire to love someone and live together.

He has been living with his lover for nearly five years. Finally, I will say goodbye in the form of being used. This experience was traumatic, and I thought, 'Same-sex couples can't be serious after all. ] and resigned to the world. The type who looks at happy lovers and says they're not stupid.

I feel like I've given up on something because of my own painful experience, but that doesn't mean it's cool to deny and enjoy people who still have hope or who are happy now.

There are some people who will be in trouble if the law is enacted. In the case of Canada, if you live together for a year, it is called common law and you will be legally responsible. I remember there was a similar law in Japan. They will be in trouble if that happens. They want to play freely without any ties or restrictions, but once the law is enacted, they will lose their freedom. The type who doesn't want to feel the pressure of "marriage" even if they have a lover.

If you want to play and be free, that's your will. And the person who chooses him also chooses him freely with his own will. As you want. . . But there are many people in the world who want to spend the rest of their lives with just one person.

Being a minority (LGBT in this case) is special = there are surprisingly many people who think they are special. Some people feel that once the institution of marriage is properly recognized socially, they are no longer a minority, i.e. they are no longer special.

Because it's an indie group, there's a strong sense of unity and a sense of specialness, but once you make a major debut, it's easy to say that it's not fun because it's generalized and popularized, isn't it?

I know what he's saying. Recognizing same-sex marriage requires changes in society at the same time. In other words, it can be said that the enactment of same-sex marriage into law will bring about changes in society. Some companies have already raised their voices, but in the absence of legislation, their corporate policy is equal rights for same-sex couples! It is very difficult to persuade. But if the law requires same-sex partners to have equal rights, then all companies must move in that direction, and I think it's clear that companies that go against that direction will stand out badly.

Me? me? Men from all over the world who passed by

The ex-boyfriend I met when I returned to Japan. He is a very nice person and we are still good friends. Besides him, various men passed by in the past? went. smile

Among them, I would like to introduce impressive men in both good and bad ways. I'll keep the name as a pseudonym lol

A story from when I was a university student. He's a little older and doesn't talk much, but he's kind and nice. I was invited to take a taxi. "When I got off the taxi, I was asked to split the taxi fare." Is it a bargain in this case? As a college student, I wondered if that was the rule, so I paid. The excitement of going to his house for the first time was better. LOL And my first stay! ! ! However, I was suddenly woken up at 4:00 in the morning.

I'm going squid fishing now.

No fourth date.

I met him online. We've known each other for almost four years, and we've been chatting and talking on the phone almost every day. He lived in the countryside of Belgium, but during my stay, he took me to various places such as Antwerp and Brussels. It's clear that they liked each other, but he's a very gentleman and a latecomer, so he bets separately.

He didn't come out to the people around him. Gay people who haven't come out are called "closeted."

One day, out of the blue, his colleague came to visit us. With a pale face, he opened the closet in the living room and said to me, "Hide here for a minute." I can understand how he feels, so I will wait in the closet until my colleague leaves. smile

Ralph of Closeted asked me to enter Closet. It's like a pun! "After my colleague left, I told him that it was okay as he kept calling me sorry."

In the car on the way home, he drives slowly because he wants to be with him. I'm afraid I won't be in time for the plane and I'm in a hurry. Lol It didn't go well due to the long distance, but we're still friends!

While studying abroad in San Diego, I met Joe, a younger nurse. He works a lot at night, so I get a call at 1:00 or 2:00 in the middle of the night, and it's a super nocturnal date to meet now. The standard date course is to drive and drive through at Taco Bell (a taco fast food restaurant).

Sleep a little and drop me off at school in the morning and I'll see you again! It was a date, so my body clock went crazy. Lol The teacher at school asked me, "Are you going home in the morning again today?" smile

One day, through a friend, it turns out that Joe actually has a boyfriend! The fact that I was dating him at normal time and that I was a factor to kill time late at night. We had a big fight, and the date for my return to Japan was decided goodbye. Years later, I re-connected with him through a mutual acquaintance on Facebook.

Then, I found out that I married my favorite boyfriend at that time and got divorced. As a former cheating partner, I thought that maybe cheating was the cause. smile

Mark met online shortly after arriving in Canada. Mark works for an IT company, and he asked me to meet him after my language school. I think we met around Spadina x king. smile

I thought Mark was kind enough to speak slowly to me, who is not confident in English, but for some reason he passed a lot of parking lots while walking around the city. And every time he touches his body violently, he gets irritated. Isn't the parking lot a blind spot? "Maybe that's why you're passing through the parking lot on purpose!" ! "Every time Mark tried to pass through the parking lot, I went in a different direction." smile

A mark that says, "My neighborhood is here! Come on by. I won't do anything." "I'm not stupid enough to trust people who want to pass through the parking lot to do nothing!" For the time being, it's a strong guess. . . I've never met someone so strong! I'm going home because the meal at my homestay is early! Say that and go home.

We will never meet again.

Oh, let me tell you, I'm popular! I'm not saying that. In Japan, it is said that there is no garbage to throw away in 2-chome, and the gay community has a demand for everyone. Lol (*2-chome refers to Shinjuku 2-chome, a gay town in Japan)

Recently, online dating has become commonplace, and there are mobile dating apps. It is often used not only by LGBT people, but also by straight (heterosexual) people. A student even went on a date with someone he met online! I have a report that.

But there is one thing I want you to be aware of. It is the same in Japan and overseas, but you have to protect your own safety by yourself. When meeting someone for the first time, be it online or through an acquaintance, try to meet in a place where there are a lot of people around. I think coffee shops and restaurants are the norm.

And be more careful when you get in someone else's car or go to their house. Try to tell your friends as much as possible, including their contact information, such as "I'm coming here."
